True Blood Promos

I was the Assistant Stylist for these two promos for HBO's True Blood series. The first is meant to be an ad for The Fellowship Of The Sun, a cult-like group advocating military action against vampires. The second is meant as an ad for the American Vampire League, showing that vampires are people too. This is part of a guerilla marketing campaign by HBO. The respective websites for these groups should be up soon, and I think the Tru Blood beverage will be out soon as well. These were really fun to do! LOTS of different clothes!

Additionally, the promos for HBO's Joe Buck Live that I assisted with have been put up on his HBO website, although I don't know how to embed them. Click here to view them! I worked on all of them.

These are screen shots from the NEWLY RELEASED iPhone App, "Spinning Plates: The Game." I am responsible for all of the graphics, and Anthony Rego did the programming. I tried to do the decor in a sort of futuristic Art Nouveau style (because I could.)

Zombie Shirt

I don't know why I didn't post this sooner, I stencilled this shirt for a friend's birthday. He likes zombies a lot so it's actually an image from Shawn of the Dead that I effed with in Photoshop for a long time, then LiveTraced in Illustrator, printed it out, copied onto bristol paper, cut that out, and stencilled on his shirt. And that's how you stencil by yourself!

PS, I know this resolution sucks and these pictures aren't great. I'll get to fixing that.

Childrenswear

This is a childrenswear project I did while I was studying in Paris. The clothing had to be rather run-of-the-mil (as per the guidelines of the project that my teacher set), so this is really about the illustrations.. I think these kids are cute. The theme of the project was designing clothes for kids who tried to dress like their parents/parents who dress their kids up like little adults.

This is a project I did that was inspired by Ophelia from Hamlet. I was really taken by the image of her underwater. I did an eveningwear collection with a lot of very flowing, diaphanous dresses that would look lovely if they were submerged. I illustrated this collection twice. The first time, the drawings looked more rough but I found them interesting. My teachers didn't though, so I re-illustrated them and they look a lot more clean.

This is a collection I did with private school in mind. As an ex-Catholic schoolgirl, it was a theme close to my heart. I thought of the way girls distressed and changed the clothes to look interesting while staying within the uniform guidelines.

This was a project that I did for school, with my friend Lina. It was basically a... haute, morbid interpretation of American Apparel clothes. So... basics, I guess. What she and I would consider "basics." There's a lot of jersey, we swear. Also, some very cool bits of boiled wool etamine. I drew the finishes a la sexy AA poses. These bitches are hot.

I did illustrations for 4 chapters and, they've told me, the back cover. The book officially comes out in September, to coincide with fashion week. Very exciting.
